Mzansi Shows Up for Africa's No.1 — Alwande Sikhosana Takes Flight

The Nyatee Foundation celebrates Mzansi's incredible support for Africa's number one Paralympic wheelchair tennis player, Alwande Sikhosana, as he departs overseas to compete on the international stage.

The Nyatee Foundation is proud to celebrate a moment that warmed hearts across Mzansi — the overwhelming support shown to Africa's number one Paralympic wheelchair tennis player, Alwande Sikhosana.

When we put out the call, South Africa answered. The generosity and encouragement poured in from all corners of the country, ensuring that Alwande could continue chasing his dream on the international stage.

Born in KwaZulu-Natal, Alwande has been playing wheelchair tennis since Grade 4 and has risen to become one of the most exciting athletes in the sport — a former world number 2 junior, a Paralympian, and now Africa's top-ranked wheelchair tennis player. His journey is one of resilience, determination, and an unshakeable love for the game.

Today at 11am, Alwande boarded a flight to compete overseas, carrying with him the hopes, prayers, and pride of an entire nation.

To Alwande — go show the world what Mzansi is made of. We are behind you every step of the way. 💛💙🇿🇦
